Respite Care

Caring for a loved one can be both rewarding and challenging. It’s important caregivers also look after their own physical and emotional well-being, and that’s where we come in.

Our respite care program offers a safe and supportive environment for individuals to receive the care they need, while giving their regular caregivers a much-needed break. Our respite care services include assistance with activities of daily living, medication management and recreational activities.

Karen Bordano, LMSW, Director of Social Services at Cibolo Creek

Karen Bordano, LMSW

Karen Bordano has dedicated over 24 years to the field of social work within the long term care industry, wearing many hats from marketing to admissions, hospice care, and even holding a licensed administrator role since 2013. Her passion lies in assisting residents and their families, offering support across all their needs while cherishing the stories shared about their social histories.

Hailing from San Antonio, Karen tied the knot with her college sweetheart, Will, in 1994, right after their graduation from Texas State University. Relocating to the picturesque Fair Oaks Ranch area in 2001, they’ve nurtured a family, raising a daughter, now 24 and excelling as an ICU RN with aspirations to become a Nurse Practitioner. Their son, 20, is pursuing studies in marketing and business at the University of Arkansas.

Karen has an identical twin sister who also works in Boerne so if you think you saw her out and about it could very well have been her sister!

Debbie Camacho Fuentes, LBSW

Debbie Camacho Fuentes grew up in Taft, Texas, a small town located near Corpus Christi. Debbie always felt a calling to serve, which led her to obtaining her bachelor’s degree in social work from Texas A&M – Kingsville, graduating Suma Cum Laude. From there, she immediately jumped into graduate school and is pursuing a Master of Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health through the University of Texas – Arlington.

Debbie joined the Cibolo Creek team in April of 2023 and loves being a part of our welcoming community. Debbie is a mom to three sons and two fur babies. She enjoys photography, hiking and donuts.

Andrea Reidy, LVN

Andrea Reidy has been a nurse for 14 years and 13 of them have been in long-term care. Andrea and her husband have 3 children and 2 dogs – they stay pretty busy! When she is not at work, she spend her time at the baseball field with her kids, at the ranch or loving on horses.

Kim Doering, PTA

Kimberly Doering began her journey into physical therapy approximately 10 years ago after her heart led her away from her career in sales and marketing. She is a New York native and holds a Bachelor’s of Business Management from Pace University that she obtained in 2008.

In 2014, Kimberly became a traveling PTA, moved to Texas and in 2016, she married her husband Clyde. Together, Kim and Clyde have two beautiful boys and have made Boerne their home. Kim joined the Cibolo Creek team in August of 2021 as the Director of Rehabilitation and has been an integral part in maintaining the values and culture of Cascade Health Services.
